Visit of the Infantry Directorate — Ministry of Defence

The Infantry Directorate delegation examined UR scopes, night-vision devices and field communication equipment.

A delegation from the Infantry Directorate at the Ministry of Defence visited the UR Products showroom in Baghdad.

The delegation examined the scopes and night-vision line in detail: weapon sights, helmet-mounted monoculars and hand-held observation devices, each fitted with a focusing ring, diopter adjustment, Picatinny rail mount, video output and an integrated laser range finder.

The field communication sets were also demonstrated, including the two-way radio equipment supplied for units that must stay in contact where no mobile network is available.

Equipment examined by the delegation

  • Weapon sights and thermal scopes
  • Helmet-mounted monoculars
  • Hand-held observation devices
  • Integrated laser range finders
  • Picatinny rail mounting
  • Field radio communication sets

The housings are sealed against dust and moisture and tested across the temperature range of the Iraqi operating environment, not a laboratory specification written elsewhere.
